FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Is Perisher OK for all standards of skiing or snowboarding?

A - Perisher is Australia's largest ski resort catering (in 1250 hectares) for all standards from 'never seen snow' through to black runs for the experienced adventurer.

Q - Will I hire my gear before I come or can I get it all there?

A - This is up to you. If you hire along the way (especially clothing) you will be warm and dry on arrival in Perisher Valley. On the other hand there is a full hire outlet a short walk from Eiger Chalet.

Q - Are children welcome at Eiger Chalet?

A - Yes, Eiger Chalet caters for all - babies through to grandparents.Our Restaurant caters especially for children with a two course children's menu

Q - Do you provide Over Snow Transport to and from ski lifts?

A - Eiger Chalet's front door is approx 300 metres to the Quad Chair (2 minute walk or ski).With easy access to the Perisher Centre.

Q - Can our children eat with us and is there a kids' sitting for dinner?

A - We ask families with children to dine by 6:30pm. The whole family is welcome to eat at that time. Or you can supervise your younger children early and eat later yourselves. There is no supervised kids dinner (by our staff). Guest are required to book each day for dinner.

Q - Can we get lunch in the lodge?

A - Our restaurant is not open for lunch, but you can visit one of the many food outlets on the mountain and in the Perisher Centre, and Complimentary tea and coffee are available in the guest lounge.

Q - Are the bedrooms likely to be noisy?

A - No, all our rooms are well away from the restaurant and bars. Our lounge and games room are locked at 10:30pm.

Q - Does the restaurant cater for special diets - e.g. vegetarian, or gluten free?

A - There are always vegetarian choices on our menu. Please advise our Chefs of any special dietary requirements, and they will endeavour to meet your needs. As we are in an isolated area - special breads, milk etc. are not easy to obtain.
