FAQ

Questions:

Q - Is Perisher Blue OK for all standards of skiing or snowboarding?
A - Perisher Blue is Australia's largest ski resort catering (in 1250 hectares) for all standards from 'never seen snow' through to black runs for the experienced adventurer.

Q - Will I hire my gear before I come or can I get it all there?
A -
This is up to you. If you hire along the way (especially clothing) you will be warm and dry on arrival in Perisher Valley. On the other hand there is a full hire outlet a short walk from The Eiger.

Q - Are children welcome at The Eiger?
A -
Yes, The Eiger caters for all - babies through to grandma. Kitchenettes for each room make snacks and lunch attractive for the family.

Q - Do you provide Over Snow Transport to and from ski lifts?
A -
No need - The Eiger's front door is a 20 seconds ski to the Freelander Quad Chair (2 minute walk).

Q - Can our children eat with us and is there a kids' sitting for dinner?
A -
We ask families with children to dine by 6:30pm. The whole family is welcome to eat at that time. Or you can supervise your younger children early and eat later yourselves. There is no supervised kids dinner (by our staff). Guest are required to book each day for dinner.

Q - Can we get lunch in the lodge?
A -
Our restaurant is not open for lunch, but if you purchase a few goods from the supermarket (located in the Skitube building) you can prepare lunch in your own kitchen. Or visit one of the many food outlets on the mountain and in the Perisher Centre.

Q - Are the bedrooms likely to be noisy?
A -
No, all our rooms (as well as being solidly constructed) are well away from the restaurant and bars. Our lounge and games room are locked at 10:30pm.

Q - Does the restaurant cater for special diets - e.g. vegetarian, or gluten free?
A -
There are always vegetarian choices on our menu. It's up to the guest to advise of special dietary requirements but our kitchen will always endeavour to meet your needs. As we are in an isolated area - special breads, milk etc. are not easy to obtain.
